At the world you left, and the things you know

And you know she's big, but you don't feel small
Someone bigger than her comes along the hall
To swallow you for lunch
And your heart is lead, and your stomach stone
And you're really scared, being all alone
And its then that you miss all the things you've known
And the world you've left, and the little you own

The fun, is done
You steal what you can, and run

Plot Proposal

On Day Blah-Blah, the Egime will arrive in the middle of Kakariko Village, a bustling market village in the heart of Hyrule. Although the villagers are, at first, afraid (after all, a large ship just landed in the middle of their town), they'll quickly put away their pitchforks as the candidates step down on the solid ground. It is a market town. Even if the arrival is unconventional, the villagers are used to strangers.

In fact, strangers mean more commerce. The candidates can barter any number of supplies, but what everyone's pushing these days is a brand new trading game called Kinstones. In fact, any candidate who leaves the Egime to venture into town will be given a Kinstone, as a welcoming gift, from one of the natives.

By Sarian standards, the Zaya family lived reasonably well. Their cottage had five rooms, not counting the porch. All the same, that night, the four children and Alonza found themselves cramped into the room with the fireplace. Alonza sat closest to the fire, continually braiding and unbraiding her hair. It was titian, not as gold as it used to be. It seemed that Alonza was in mourning for its color, in mourning for her former beauty, lost to the years, to four children, to a husband with a temper and hardly a penny to his name. She remained silent in her seat, fingers running through her hair as she stared into the fire.

Bandon, like his mother, preferred solitary pursuits. He was by the window, working his way through a thick, leather-bound book. At fifteen, he had the best eyes in the family; reading came naturally to him.

Kay, Garmay, and Lucas sat on the floor.

Garmay's Backstory

It began with the courtship of Alonza Gallo. She was the daughter of Mereb Gallo, an adviser to the king of Hyrule. Such a position afforded the Gallo Family a great deal of honor, but they were only a twig on an aristo family tree, and for the most part, lived in relative peace, outside of the capital city, on a large, country estate. With only a handful of servants, Alonza participated a great deal in the household work and, as such, often went to the local farming village of Saria to purchase household staples. And it was in Saria where she met and fell in love with a landed farmer by the name of Antonio Zaya.

The flirtation was scandalous to Mereb and he would have put a stop to it then and there, but Alonza was soon pregnant. She and Antonio married and settled in to his ranch in Saria, where she gave birth to her first son, Kay. A year later, their second son, Bandon, was born. Both Kay and Bandon, along with several other children in Saria, were born with brown eyes. Gossip spread throughout Hyrule, whispers that the farmers of Saria had tainted blood, as Hylians were always born blue-eyed. Although this was not the case, the rumors were enough to ignite old prejudices and soon, Saria was considered a backwater place. Hylians with a Sarian accent were shunned from more "civilized" society and as their farms failed, Saria became the prostitution and vice capital of Hyrule.
